Just had my total tax return garnished because RT Willis allowed an enforcement hearing to be ruled against me for back child support. Long story short. I lost my job in April 2020, a notice was filed….. with the courts for a change in employment. My divorce was finalized June 1st 2020. Rusty didn’t file my modification for child support until August of 2020 even though it should have been done back in April or before the divorce was finalized. He dropped the ball on ever getting my modification done or in front of the judge with a court date.Then when he did finally get in front of the judge he didn’t have the correct paperwork filed and the judge didn’t hear the case. Complete negligence. He blamed it on the Judge and how no one liked that court. Feb 2021 rolls around I’m still required to pay 2000 dollars a month, 15k plus dollars in arrears, I had an enforcement hearing held against me and ruled against me plus attorneys fees. 7k dollars in with his retainer fees and nothing was done regarding my modification. Confronted him multiple times regarding how unsatisfactory his representation was. He admitted to his negligence yet still did nothing monetary wise to make things right with me. This is the second review that I’ve made because the first review I made he threatened me and told me he’d sue me if I didn’t take it down. Definitely don’t waste your time and money with this lawyer.

This lawyer does just enough so you can’t get your money back then it’s a total dead end after that. I would not recommend him to anyone. I was trying to get my name changed and he couldn’t make it happen. RT went to court unprepared, blew the case then spun me around in circles for months waisting my time. I had no choice but to cut my losses with RT and use a competent lawyer who could actually get things done. My name is officially changed now thanks to a better Houston lawyer. I chose RT Willis because I live in deer park and because his low retainer cost but just remember you get what you pay for. In my opinion there are much better lawyers with refundable retainers so you get back what they don’t use. I basically threw away over a thousand dollars using this lawyer. I can not stress it enough you get what you pay for so please be aware and proceed with caution. I would look elsewhere!

He took my money a year and half ago and has done NOTHING! I have asked over the past year for him to file something or give me my money back and is all i get from the receptionist is "I will take a message". It's always an excuse. "The court house flooded, the froze has everything messed up with court." I was in the office many times they are nice and friendly i just dont understand why nothing was ever done with my case. I highly recommend you DO NOT use Mr. Willis. He will only rob you of your money with false promises.

This guy is an awesome lawyer and his staff is great. I faced prison time. After searching for lawyers all over the Houston area, I chose RT Willis on a prayer, literally. And I am blown away by the outcome. No jail time. No probation. Not even time served. No charge against me! After attending anger management classes, I am a free man. RT Willis, thank you.

I'm so sure of myself and this attorneys ability that I have decided to pre-post. Continental Builder on Lindita in Houston gave me a contract to build a church then cancelled it because he was unable to take advantage of me. I have hired R. Willis Deer Park contract lawyer to recoup the money taken from me by Mr. Niyi from Nigeria.
