Joshua Bowman5 StarChris is an exceptional attorney. In troubling times she provides a wisdom and peace that far exceeds legal expertise. Her rates are very reasonable, and her work is great. The care and warmth she brings to difficult situations is simply refreshing. I have recommended Chris to friends and family members, and each person has been very grateful for such a sound recommendation.Wednesday 25th May 2016
Jason Bishop5 StarI've retained high dollar divorce lawyers in the past - names some of you would recognize - and I got fair-to-good results but they both obviously came with a high dollar price tag. Note that I said 'fair-to-good results.' Logic dictates that by hiring big guns you should be guaranteed the best possible results. Right? After all you're paying more for the name and their experience and connections and sometimes I'm sure that that IS the case. However the reality is that it doesn't always work that way. I paid each of my 'guns' $10k+ on two different cases to defend myself against an ex who wanted her pound of flesh. One experience was good and the other was just fair but bordering lousy. Bottom line: I could've saved an enormous amount of money in legal fees by finding good, capable and knowledgeable counsel at a much lower cost. I told myself that I wouldn't make that mistake again. Experience is the best teacher.
I heard about Chris Nallie-Courtney from a friend several years ago who gushed about the help she got from her and at what seemed to me like an exceptionally fair rate considering the stratosphere I'd previously been hanging out in. I referred a friend to Chris before retaining her myself(!) based on the good word I'd heard and he gave me a glowing review of her and must have thanked me 20x for giving me her name.
That made for an easy and obvious choice when I needed a lawyer again. I can tell you that enjoyed the heck out of working with Chris. She didn't rush on my case so that she could work on someone else's. THAT was new for me. She explained my options clearly and then over again when I didn't fully understand. She gave me more guidance than I'd ever gotten from those other big guns plus emails or phone call reminders when something was due - which I loved because I'm very busy. More importantly I probably saved $40k in my divorce by following her advice and counsel! I'll say that again: I probably SAVED $40k! I know that every case is a little different but when you come away from a case feeling really good about it, so much that you take the time to call your attorney and thank them emphatically (I think I even told her she was awesome) for being the one who put you in the best position to succeed then you know you made the right selection. I'm here to tell you that you DON'T always get more just because you spend more on legal counsel.Monday 25th July 2016
